Rakuten Optimism is the Rakuten Group's largest interactive event. It aims to promote understanding and discovery of the Rakuten Group's ecosystem (economic sphere) and services. In Japan, the event was held for the first time in 2019 at PACIFICO Yokohama and attracted approximately 80,000 attendees. In 2022, the event was held online, with about 114,000 people registering and 286,000 views. This year, for the first time in four years, Rakuten Optimism will be held in person at PACIFICO Yokohama with free participation. The Future Festival will offer a variety of experiences, including booths where visitors can experience Rakuten Group's services in a 5G worldview. Participants can also visit the sales and exhibition area to purchase popular products from Rakuten Ichiba stores across Japan and merchandise featuring Rakuten's official mascot, Okaimono Panda.
The Business Conference will feature business leaders from Rakuten Group and speakers from around the world who are active on the front lines of the business world.
Panel discussions will be held on a wide range of topics, including e-commerce, fintech, sports, entertainment and telecommunications.
